We are neurodiverse 

It’s a blessing not a curse 

I don’t mean to mean discursive

But when I write it is in cursive 

When we jam we don’t rehearse

Coz we are flowing We’re mercurial 

We don’t need any hearses

We ain’t going to our funeral 

I don’t mean to cause a neurotypical schism 

But I really despise words like BPD and autism 

A spectre 

A ghost 

A spectre ‘em

It isn’t a spectre or a ghost and yet when 

They put us on a scale they call it the spectre ‘em 

They spectre ‘em, is and then

They make ghosts of us

Or for lab tested drugs then they chose for us to host 

On the spectre ‘em

Nah uh

Don’t you dare 

You take your ghosts and charts 

And your letters that contain you

We are free range humans

You don’t need to tame us

To train us

To inhumane us

We are the neurodiverse 

Uncommon humanity

If uncommon is a crime

Well then I’m a profanity
